Golf Tips Posture -
You’ve seen it many times. Left, right, left and then right again. And seldom anywhere down the middle of the fairway. Perhaps your posture at address and during the swing is out of alignment or is inconsistent. There is a lot to consider before each swing: distance, wind direction, is the ball on a level lie to name just a few. Learning the proper fundamentals that are necessary for each swing will go a long way to creating a consistent and more reliable swing.
The following tips will give you a better chance of hitting a more dependable shot and help to reduce the left, right, left and right again shots leading to shooting lower scores. And enjoying the game more !
Posture - Consider These Tips
- Take a stance with your feet just slightly wider (longer clubs) than shoulder width
- Your arms will be relaxed and in a comfortable straight position
- Holding the club at waist height
- Now lean forward from your hips
- Keep your back straight until the club makes contact with the ground
- Your body weight will naturally be slightly forward on your feet (not too much)
Take a few practice swings in similar conditions / area as the ball you are about to play. Feel the current conditions and make adjustments as needed.
